ABOUT Us
Mainstream Dance Academy was started by NJ native and former professional dancer Julie Plummer. Julie is a Rutgers Dance team Alumni and former NBA Nets Dancer. Her dream of owning a dance studio came true back in 2015 and since then MDA has made its mark in Mt Laurel, NJ. MDA has been a top three finalist in the Best of Burlington County Contest consecutively since 2020. We believe this is truly a testament to how we run our studio. We want your child to feel welcome, important, and proud of themselves after each and every class. We have built strong connections with our families, because we truly love sharing our love for dance with them!
We instill body positivity and constructive criticism in a way that guides our dancers, rather than instills insecurity. We have achieved many competitive accolades, and our method has proven to be successful as our dancers are not only beautifully trained, but happy. Our students' focus isn't to outshine other dancers, but instead to build and lift each other up.
